• Peruvian Economic Leadar, Alan García Pérez, addressed to more than 1,200 businessmen from all 21 APEC Member Economies that met at the APEC 2008 CEO Summit Meeting.
The Peruvian Leader, Alan García Perez, said that APEC businessmen represent a high percentage of the gross world product, so he urged them to regain confidence in the economic system capabilities. During his speech, he also expressed that a good entrepreneur is able to move forward and make his business grow in areas where there is less difficulty. "Perhaps, the emblematic figure of APEC is the presence of Jack Ma, a young novice in life and business that managed to transform a 2 thousand dollar capital, in billions of dollars, and did so despite of the novelty of his activity in the world, "he said.
He also noted that the current global economic crisis should be viewed with optimism, due to the many financial and technological resources, also the speed in the construction of markets and economies, it is almost impossible that a financial crisis can last up to 18 months.
