CEAN APEC RECEIVES A FLEET OF 70 VEHICLES TO BE USED IN THE APEC LEADERS WEEK

• This is the second donation of vehicles received by the CEAN APEC in two days, which demonstrates the commitment of the Economies and businesses for the success of this summit.

A fleet of seventy vehicles of latest high technology was delivered at noon today by the General Motors Company to the chairman of the, High-Level Extraordinary Committee APEC CEAN, Vice Admiral Luis Giampietri at the facilities of the San Martin Barracks in Miraflores. The vehicles will be used during the APEC Leaders' Week to be held from 16-23 of November.

After a brief ceremony, Vice Admiral Giampietri said that this important donation will be used by officials, ministers and delegates of the visiting Economies so they can use them during the Leaders' Week. "With this fleet we will be able to give an adequate attention to our visitors and at the same time, ensure safety and smooth development of the series of events that will take place throughout the week," he said.

On the other hand, Oscar Quesada, representative of General Motors in Peru, was pleased to be able to work with the CEAN APEC and said that the fleet of Chevrolet 4x4 vehicles with cutting-edge technology such as GPS system, to ensure the location of vehicles at all times.

It should also be noted that on Friday 14 of November, at the same premises of the San Martin Headquarters, the President of the CEAN APEC received by the authorities of the People’s Republic of China, an initial donation of vehicles to be used during the Leaders Week.
