FINANCIAL MINISTERIAL STATEMENT ENDS APEC TRUJILLO MEETINGS

• APEC Finance Ministerial and Senior Officials Meeting will end with the Reading of the Ministerial Statement.
• 250 Delegates from the 21 APEC Economies gathered during 5-day meetings.

APEC Finance Meetings in Trujillo end today, after one week of hard work where the most notable APEC Economies’ Financial Officials gathered, together with the representatives of the most important International Financial Institutions, such as the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the Andean Development Corporation and the Asian Development Bank.

Today, Finance Ministers and Finance Senior Officials will end their discussions on the capital market reform, aiming to modernize that system in the Asia-Pacific region. Finally, they will review the Ministerial Statement which will be then before the nation and international communication media during the Official Press Conference.

The Finance Ministerial Statement includes the agreements and commitments of the Ministers regarding economic matters, as well as their opinion before the global financial crisis, which will be taken to the Leaders’ Week that will be held from November 16 to 23 in Lima.

This afternoon, APEC Ministers and Finance Senior Officials will lunch and attend to several cultural activities at the Peruvian Paso Horse Association of Trujillo.
