Lima, August 28, 2008TODAY, RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS FROM THE 31st TRANSPORTATION WORKING GROUP WILL BE PRESENTEDAfter four days of sessions analyzing the status and problems of the sector in the Asia-Pacific region, the APEC Transportation Working Group will present the results and conclusions of its proposals and projects, focused on reinforcing all APEC transportation systems.
More than 200 delegates, participating in plenary work sessions, made project proposals to boost greater competitiveness and efficacy in highways, railroads, ports and airports, focusing on three key axes in the development of the sector: trade liberalization, road security, and transportation physical security.
The 31st Transportation Working Group was mainly focused in promoting Corporate Social Responsibility in the public and private sectors, together with its implementation in most Civil Aviation, Land, Sea, and Intermodal Transportation policies.

Meanwhile, in Chiclayo, the 15th APEC Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) Ministerial Meeting will be start with the opening remarks by the Minister of Production, Rafael Rey. During this session, ministers will be informed about the results of the Innovation Management Seminar, as well as all topics discussed during the week, focused on the signature of a joint declaration, expressing the commitment of senior Asia-Pacific authorities in order to work at the public policies level for SMEs development.
